Serving Citizens

Service and Transparency are hallmarks of Ricky’s leadership. Ricky is a responsive elected official who welcomes insights, requests, and recommendations from fellow citizens throughout Weber County. Feel free to contact him on his cell phone at (801)-810-7259 or by email at ricky@rickyhatch.com.

Under Ricky’s leadership, the Clerk/Auditor’s Office has worked tirelessly to improve the services available to you.

  • Implemented a countywide tracking and fulfillment system for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) requests.
  • Has extended an open invitation to the public to tour the Weber County Elections facility so you can learn more about the process and why our Elections office is a model for the nation.
  • Created a Fraud Hotline so citizens and county employees can anonymously report misappropriation, theft, or misuse of County assets.
  • Has worked to make County financial reports easier to understand and easier to access.
  • You can now schedule an appointment for a marriage license or passport online. The appointment system helps you arrive better prepared and you can avoid waiting in line.
  • Implemented a customer feedback system for marriage license and passport customers.
  • If you need another copy of your property’s valuation notice, you can access it online.
  • If you would like to appeal the value the Assessor has placed on your property, you can file an appeal online instead of filling out a paper form.
  • If you need a certified copy of your marriage license, you can order one online instead of coming into the office in person.
  • Pioneered the Clerk Designee approach to marriage officiators when the state legislature authorized the County Clerk to designate individuals who are willing to solemnize a legal marriage.
  • Leads the Utah Clerk/Auditor Association Legislative Committee to work with state legislators to craft common-sense laws that improve services and benefit our citizens (and avoid bad laws!).

As Utah’s State Auditor, Ricky will implement these same improvements

at the state level.
